Canyoning and Photographic shooting
For several years that I love canyoning and extreme sport. And as you can imagine, I join my passion of canyoning with the passion of photography and from time to time I can make the 2 at the same time.
For does who don´t know what I´m talking about. Canyoning is a sport were you descend a river that is inside a canyon and you need to descend it on foot, swinging and rappeling big waterfalls.
Here you can see my good friend Ricardo. Last week we decide to descend a river and make a photographic session together. The photo in the beggining was take by Ricardo (thank you Ricardo).In this type of situation a photo session are a nightmare, we need a lot of preparation and to really know the terrain. You have to pay attencion to all your gear (eletronics and water don´t mix), you need to take special atencion to the place were you will make the shooting and alway play safe. You can´t imagine how easy is to forget were you are (and some times you are hang 30 meters from the ground) and with the thrill of the shooting, put your feet were are no ground!
I love this walls but they are very dificult to expose. Because the ground is polished by the water, the sun light reflects and is hard to have the perfect exposure (do not forget that some times you are hanging on a rock with one hand and the camera on the other).
Comunication is always hard, in the picture above Ricardo is only 10 metters away from me, but you can imagine the sound that all this water makes. You will need big lungs to give instructions to the model in front of you.
In the end is a great way of spending a day!
